Morocco welcomed 15.7 million tourists during the first nine months of 2026, a 5% increase compared to the same period in 2025 and more than 717,000 additional arrivals. In September alone, tourist arrivals rose by 8%, exceeding 1.5 million visitors.

By the end of September, the Kingdom had recorded 15.7 million tourist arrivals, a 5% increase compared to the first nine months of 2025. This represents more than 717,000 additional tourists year-on-year. The growth continued throughout September, with more than 1.5 million tourists visiting Morocco that month, an 8% increase compared to September 2025. These results reflect the continued growth in tourist arrivals beyond peak periods.

Commenting on these figures, Fatim-Zahra Ammor, Minister of Tourism, Handicrafts, and the Social and Solidarity Economy, emphasized the continued momentum and reiterated the national objective of reaching 26 million tourists by 2030. “The momentum of Moroccan tourism continues, and its long-term potential remains considerable. The target of 26 million tourists by 2030 is closer than ever,” the Minister stated. She also stressed the need to maintain this growth while generating more value, jobs, and opportunities across all regions.
