The Inspector General of the Royal Armed Forces receives the Chief of Staff of the UAE Armed Forces

Rabat – On the High Instructions of His Majesty the King, Supreme Commander and Chief of the General Staff of the Royal Armed Forces, may God assist him, Lieutenant General Mohammed Berrid, Inspector General of the Royal Armed Forces and Commander of the Southern Zone, received, on Tuesday at the headquarters of the Royal Armed Forces General Staff in Rabat, Major General Issa Saif Bin Ablan Al Mazrouei, Chief of Staff of the UAE Armed Forces, who is on an official visit to the Kingdom of Morocco, leading a large delegation.

This visit is part of the participation of the Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces of the United Arab Emirates in the 3rd meeting of the Moroccan-Emirati Joint Military Commission, held on October 5 and 6, 2026, as well as in the Marrakech Air Show 2026, organized from October 7 to 10, 2026, according to a statement from the General Staff of the Royal Armed Forces.

During this meeting, the two officials commended the level of military cooperation achieved between the two countries, particularly in the areas of capability development, the defense industry, training, and the exchange of experiences and expertise. They also reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthening and developing this cooperation.

Subsequently, the Inspector General of the Royal Armed Forces (FAR) and the Chief of Staff of the UAE Armed Forces co-chaired the closing session of the 3rd meeting of the Moroccan-Emirati Joint Military Commission, which was marked by a very positive outcome covering a wide range of activities in several strategic areas.

Furthermore, the Inspector General of the FAR presented Major General Issa Saif bin Ablan Al Mazrouei with the Grand Cordon of the Order of Military Merit, awarded by His Majesty the King, Supreme Commander and Chief of the General Staff of the Royal Armed Forces, in recognition of his efforts to strengthen military cooperation between the Kingdom of Morocco and the United Arab Emirates.

Military cooperation between the Royal Armed Forces and the Armed Forces of the United Arab Emirates is part of a shared vision and a long-standing dynamic, which began in 1980 with the signing of the first consolidated military agreement, further strengthened following the conclusion of a framework agreement in May 2006.
