Weather Forecast for Monday

Rabat – The General Directorate of Meteorology forecasts relatively hot to locally hot weather on Monday in the south and southeast, in the Souss region, and in the interior plains.

During the night and morning, low clouds accompanied by fog patches or very light rain are expected near the coasts.

Unsettled skies with scattered showers and thunderstorms are also forecast for the High Atlas Mountains, the southeast, and the northeastern part of the country.

The Directorate also forecasts the formation of tropical clouds over the southern Sahara, with a risk of showers or scattered thunderstorms in some areas, as well as moderate to strong wind gusts in the Tangier region, the Anti-Atlas Mountains, and the south of the country.

Minimum temperatures will range between 10 and 15 degrees Celsius in the Atlas and Rif Mountains, and between 22 and 27 degrees Celsius in the plains west of the Atlas Mountains, the Souss region, the southeast, and the eastern Sahara. In the rest of the country, minimum temperatures will range between 15 and 22 degrees Celsius.

Daytime temperatures will generally be higher across the country.

The sea will be slight to moderate along the Mediterranean coast and the Strait of Gibraltar, as well as between Cape Spartel and Asilah. It will be slight between Laâyoune and Cape Barbas, and slight to moderate along the rest of the Atlantic coast.
