On this occasion, the Moroccan official stressed the importance of the cultural dimension in promoting bilateral relations, calling upon the Moroccan intellectuals and their Chinese peer to take advantage of the geo-strategic position of both countries, which share numerous common values, said a statement by the upper house.

Benchamach also recalled HM King Mohammed VI’s visits to China (in 2002 and 2016) and their contribution to building a global strategic partnership in order to reach the level of the long-standing political relations binding the two countries, the statement said.

For his part, the head of the Chinese delegation highlighted the importance of HM the King’s last visit to China and its positive impact on the consolidation of mutual understanding and on the setting up of a strategic partnership between the two countries.
