Minister delegate for foreign affairs Mbarka Bouaida met, on Monday in Riyadh, with several top officials from countries of Latin America.
Bouaida, who is taking part in the 4th Arab World-Latin America summit slated on Nov. 9-10 in the Saudi capital, met with Prime minister of Uruguay, the foreign minister of Brazil and the vice foreign ministers of Peru, Argentina, and Ecuador.
The talks touched on reinforcing relations between Morocco and countries of Latin America, and spreading information about the national cause and its developments mainly after the historic speech by HM King Mohammed VI in Laayoune on the occasion of the 40th anniversary of the Green March, she told the press.
“This speech ushers in a break with the past and new historical phase which will be more serious and positive,” she said.
She added that the meetings were also an occasion to agree on mechanisms for joint action between Morocco and Latin American countries, mainly in the light of preparations under way for the Africa-Latin America summit scheduled next year.
