Morocco Follows Strategic Diplomatic Approach to Consolidate South-South cooperation

Morocco follows a strategic diplomatic approach aimed at consolidating an effective South-South cooperation, especially with African countries, said Thursday King Mohammed VI.
“With regard to solidarity, Morocco follows a strategic diplomatic approach to consolidate South-South cooperation efficiently, especially with African brothers,” said the Sovereign in a speech to the nation on the occasion of celebration of the 16th anniversary of the Throne Day.
HM King said in this regard, that His visits to many countries of the continent “helped develop a model of mutually beneficial economic cooperation, and improve the living conditions of the African citizen”.

The Sovereign, also indicated that the Kingdom of Morocco, faithful to its Arab and Islamic belonging, is committed to the Arab coalition against terrorism and to restore the legitimacy in Yemen, “which called alliances Our dear Brother, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Abdulaziz Ibn Selman Al-Saud, besides the desire to support our brothers and Arab strategic partners. ”
HM the King reiterated, in this context, the importance of finding solutions to situations that plague Yemen, Syria, Iraq and Libya, on the basis of dialogue, the involvement of their people in all their components and respect for their sovereignty and territorial integrity. “This is precisely the objective that Morocco is working to achieve in Skhirate housing the negotiations for the resolution of the Libyan crisis,” the monarch said.
HM the King also assured that the Palestinian issue “remains at the heart of peace in the Middle East”, despite the difficult circumstances through which the Arab region due to the proliferation of gangs of extremism and terrorism.

HM the King, also stressed that the credibility of the Moroccan diplomacy is illustrated through partnerships that unite Morocco with a set of clusters and friendly countries.
“As part of its integration within its Euro-Mediterranean environment, Morocco continues to work on developing partnerships that bind the countries of the European Union”, supported the Sovereign which ensures, in this regard, ensure strengthen the exceptional partnership with France, in collaboration with His Excellency President François Hollande.
“We also work to avail ourselves of friendship with His Majesty King Felipe VI to further strengthen relations of cooperation and good neighborliness with Spain, besides our commitment to developing the relations of fruitful cooperation with the rest European countries, “said His Majesty the King.
As a strategic partner of Europe, said the Sovereign, Morocco calls for the establishment of a balanced and equitable partnership transcending cyclical narrow interests.
“We are also keen to develop our strategic partnership with the United States, based on the values and principles that believe our two friendly peoples,” said the Sovereign reiterated Morocco’s commitment to deepen and enrich the partnership binds respectively to Russia and China.
“In the same vein, we are working to open up wider prospects for cooperation relations with the countries of Latin America and Asian countries,” said the Sovereign.
