Nearly 11,000 Syrian Refugees Treated at Moroccan Zaatari Hospital in June

Amman – The number of Syrian refugees who received medical services of the Moroccan field hospital at the Zaatari camp in the governorate of Al-Mafraq (northeast of Jordan), reached 10,928 people during the month of June.

According to data from the direction of the hospital, children and infants topped the list of beneficiaries of the hospital services with 4,516 patients, followed by women (3827) and men (2585).

Thus, the various hospital services have provided 18,992 medical benefits, 6193 free prescriptions and performed 116 surgical operations.

The emergency department received 2,805 cases, while the counseling service has received 173 cases and that of the 2206 GP.

The hospital also recorded 28 births.

Since its establishment 10 August 2012, the Moroccan field hospital Zaatari has provided services to 526,404 Syrian refugees.
