Morocco King Quits Gabon and Ends His African Tour

The Kingdom of Morocco and the Gabonese Republic have agreed that the major economic projects launched during the last visit of His Majesty King Mohammed VI in Gabon, and related to sustainable human development, should be accompanied by appropriate measures against precariousness and exclusion.

A joint statement released on Friday after work and friendship visit of HM King Mohammed VI in the Gabonese Republic, said that the Sovereign and the Gabonese President Ali Bongo Ondimba who share the same vision for Sustainable Human Development, have focused this visit around this important area of ​​cooperation between the two countries.

“They consider that economic projects should be accompanied by appropriate measures against precariousness and exclusion,” the statement added.

“This fundamental dimension in the African policy of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, is a prime area for sharing experience in the framework of south-south cooperation innovative, favoring the emergence of successful development models, adapted the specificities and realities of each country, “say the two countries, adding that” this approach is particularly relevant to coincide with the review by the United Nations in September of the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) post 2015 “.

In this context, the two leaders welcomed the cooperation in the area of ​​the National Initiative for Human Development (INDH) and chaired the signing ceremony of agreements for sharing of this pioneering experience and implementation in the Gabonese Republic under the Human Investment Strategy in Gabon (SIHG).

His Majesty King Mohammed VI paid tribute to the progress and economic progress of the Gabonese Republic under the leadership of His Excellency President Ali Bongo Ondimba, and assured him of Morocco’s support in the implementation of the Strategic Plan Gabon Emergent.
