Libreville – His Majesty King Mohammed VI proceeded Friday in the practice school of Libreville military health service, the delivery of a donation of two tons of medicines to treat opportunistic infections associated with HIV / AIDS and assistance of twelve tons of medicine and medical-technical equipment for the benefit of the Gabonese health authorities.
This initiative is part of the multifaceted cooperation, dense and fairly advanced linking the Kingdom of Morocco to the Gabonese Republic, is the expression of the firm determination of the sovereign to confer a humanistic content to Morocco’s solidarity with the countries of the African continent and to South-South cooperation.
It also reflects the will of HM King contribute to the progress and prosperity of the brother people of Gabon, to the improvement of health and living conditions of vulnerable populations and the creation of conditions for the realization of a development Sustainable human.
The royal donation of two tons of medicines to treat opportunistic diseases and infections related to AIDS / HIV, offered by the Mohammed VI Foundation for Sustainable Development for the benefit of Gabonese structures of care for HIV patients, three families of drugs i.e. antiviral, antibacterial and antifungal.
As for the fate of twelve tons of medicines and medical-technical equipment, it includes support of the Kingdom of Morocco for the benefit of health care facilities of the Gabonese Republic. This assistance includes in particular conventional drugs in psychiatry, neurology, ophthalmology, gastroenterology, cardiology, anesthesia, intensive care, pulmonology, Otorhinolaryngology, Dermatology and Allergology.
Also included are medical devices, including tables autoclaves (sterilizers), electronic blood pressure monitors, infrared thermometers, electrocardiographs, and medical fungible (consumables and surgical products).
Illustration of the active solidarity of the Kingdom of Morocco to the brother people of Gabon, the aid clearly reinforce the human and social dimension of the Moroccan-Gabonese partnership and reflect, once again, the high care His Majesty King Mohammed VI surrounds African populations .
