Moroccan Journalists Record the Voice of Peace to call on the world

Morocco- On May 25th, a group of journalists in Morocco gathered at one place, yearning for World Peace. They all attended the “Peace Building through Information and Communication” conference that was held in ISIC Rabat, Morocco. This event was held to commemorate ‘the 2nd Annual Commemoration of the Declaration of the World Peace’. This meaningful event was co-hosted by the Heavenly Culture, World Peace, Restoration of Light (‘HWPL’, Chairman Man Hee Lee) and Superior Institution of Information and Communication (ISIC, President Mr. Abdelmajid Fadel).
The chancellor of ISIC including many professors and students of the institution attended the event planned by Ibrahim Metar, a student who was deeply inspired by the work of HWPL. To acknowledge his dedicated efforts in peace work, HWPL appointed him as a Publicity Ambassador of HWPL.
To mark the opening of the event, Mr. Metar said “For welcoming our first conference in Morocco and it’s a pleasure to be morocco the first country who support HWPL efforts in North Africa.” The event started with watching video clips from the World Alliance of Religions’ Peace (WARP) Summit which was hosted by HWPL last year.

As the special speaker for the commemorative event, Hassan Bouadgharen, a journalist of SNRT RadioHassan Bouadgharen and an alumni of ISIC gave a speech, describing his participation at the WARP summit. He first began with expressing his sincere gratitude and respect for Chairman Man Hee Lee, a Veteran who is actively stepping forward to bring the world without wars and also for Chairwoman Nam Hee Kim of International Women’s Peace Group IWPG who accompanies Chairman Lee in all his peace work.
He also stated, “I still remember the opening ceremony and tens of thousands of people at the Seoul Olympic stadium. I will never forget the moment when all youths and religious leaders signed and agreed to work together for world peace.” He also added,” although the WARP summit has ended, I discovered a beautiful and great country ahead” and urged other attendees to join the work of HWPL as journalists with visions for future.
On May 25th 2013, Chairman Man Hee Lee of HWPL proclaimed ‘the Declaration of World Peace’ in Seoul, South Korea for the first time in history. HWPL works with its affiliated organizations IWPG and International Peace Youth Group (IPYG, Director Doo Hyun Kim). On that day, 30,000 IPYG youth members from all around the world participated in the peace walk and recently people are commemorating the annual event of the proclamation of the declaration and designating May 25th as HWPL’s Day worldwide.
Stated in the Declaration of World Peace, Chairman Lee mentioned the significant role that media plays in achieving world peace. He repeatedly highlighted the duties of media are to broadcast the work of peace incessantly. For this reason, Chairman Lee has been on national broadcasting stations of various countries whenever he goes for the world peace tour. He urges many to do the work of peace together. The Declaration of World Peace states that the crucial element in cessation of wars is the enactment of an international law for the cessation of war.
To celebrate the 2nd Annual Commemoration this year, over 200,000 people around the world gathered in 30 different countries including Morocco and Seoul Olympic Park Peace Plaza, the very spot where the declaration was first proclaimed was flocked by countless people.
During his opening speech delivered through a video in Seoul, Chairman Lee said, “At this moment, governments and organizations are designating and commemorating May 25th as a ‘peace day, throughout the world,” He also added “the family of peace, everyone, is working and shouting for peace all together” Chairwoman Nam Hee Kim of IWPG said “the peace wave is so great that it is impossible to believe all this has happened in the past two years around the world”, “Let us keep working for peace with political, social, and religious leaders on the front line.”
For this year’s celebration, Chairman Lee and Chairwoman Kim attended the unveiling ceremony of the Mindanao Peace Agreement Monument in Mindanao, Philippines. The monument was built to commemorate the signing of peace treaty led by Chairman Lee and conducted between Catholic and Muslim leaders. In January 2014, through the peace agreement, Chairman Lee played a major role in ending the religious conflict that had continued for 40 years. Heads of state and religious leaders around the world have given him multiple awards to acknowledge and express their sincere gratitude for mediating such conflict.image
