DGST: Arrest of a criminal gang involved in serious crimes

Rabat – The Brigade of fight against organized crime of the Central Judicial Investigation Bureau (CBIJ) under the Directorate of Territorial Surveillance (DGST), has arrested seven members of criminal gang involved in several serious crimes committed in many parts of the Kingdom (Agadir, El Jadida, Safi, Marrakech, Meknes and Berrechid), announced Friday the Ministry of the Interior.

Those arrested had committed a burglary early April in a villa in Agadir, where they stole 260,000 dirhams and a brand of “Golf” car and kidnap and torture before its owner. The members of this band have also committed homicide against a grocer in the vicinity of the city of Had Soualem, using a shotgun during the robbery of his trade, the ministry said in a statement.

Brigade fight against organized crime, on the basis of the data collected by careful field investigations and operations spinning and monitoring, managed to solve crimes by identifying perpetrators and arresting of seven of them in Sidi Allal Bahraoui, Bir Jdid, Chemmaïya and Marrakech, and the seizure of two stolen cars, the sums of money from the robbery, firearms, toxic products, tools to force the doors, as well as foreign and domestic plates.
