Seizure of equipment used by two French journalists in suspicious filming activities in Rabat

Services of the Rabat police headquarters conducted on Sunday by order of the competent prosecutor, seizure of equipment and electronic devices used by two French journalists in suspicious filming activities in the absence of the necessary authorizations of the competent administrative authorities, said a statement from the General Directorate of national Security Committee.

The seized equipment, some of which have been leased to Morocco through a foreign company, include a laptop, two cameras, two digital lenses, tripod, monitor, batteries, three memory cards, tape recorder, the lighting equipment, a transceiver kit, GPS, three cell phones and a rental car, and an external hard drive, said the source.

The seizure of the equipment involved in the investigation being carried out by the services of the Rabat police headquarters about suspicious activities and activities of two French journalists, in accordance with legal provisions, recalls the source.
