Seizure of nearly 24 tons of chira and arrest of 11 traffickers in Larache Morocco

The elements of the Royal Navy, supported by the Royal Gendarmerie, carried in Friday night, seizure of nearly 24 tons of chira and the arrest of eleven drug dealers in Larache, we learn Saturday from official sources.
Following intensive operations of tracking and surveillance, the Royal Navy, supported by elements of the Royal Gendarmerie and various bodies of the security forces have intercepted zodiacs with powerful engines carrying a total of 23 tons and 800 kg of chira, to be sent to not yet known destinations, say the same sources.
The operation resulted in the arrest of 11 traffickers after spinning and raking in several regions of Larache, Fem Loukkous, the beaches of Lahyayda, within the municipality of Laouamra, and al Ma Jdid Larache and areas near the port city.
An investigation was opened by the relevant authorities to determine the circumstances of the attempted drug trafficking.
