FIFA has announced that Tuesday’s Club World Cup semi-final between Real Madrid and Cruz Azul will take place in Marrakech, owing to the poor condition of the pitch at Rabat’s Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium, where the game was supposed to be staged.
The playing surface in Rabat has been wrecked by the number of games played on it in a short space of time and the recent torrential rain in the Moroccan capital.
