The World Autism Summit started Friday in Rabat

The World Autism Summit started its work on Friday in Rabat, with the participation of national and international experts.

This two-day summit has set as goals, according to organizers, to establish a common ground for the current scientific consensus on the science of autism.

It aims to provide a summary of the state of the science of genetics and diagnosis of autism, and the implications of the current consensus on public health research and strengthening synergies between the resources of various government agencies and non-government order to capitalize on the state of the art expertise and knowledge of clinicians and scientists.

This meeting will serve as a nucleus for future collaborations between health care providers, Moroccan educators and their international counterparts, will facilitate a continuous transfer of information and the exchange of best practices in the hope of improving the lives of people affected by autism to integrate them gradually into the company.

The work of this event will focus on aspects of diagnosis, treatment and social disease, and with the participation of a group of international experts from the US, Asia and Europe as well as Moroccan professionals and foreigners residing in Morocco.

The summit also aims to be more open to associations, government and non-government agencies that may improve the situation of people with autism in Morocco and to promote synergy of different resources in order to benefit from the technical experience cognitive doctors and international experts.

In a document distributed to the press, the organizers point out that the lack of qualified human resources, especially in primary health care and community, is recognized as a major obstacle to increasing service delivery for children with autistic spectrum disorders (ASD).
