Medays Declaration Asked International Community to Meet In Mecca

Forum Medays 2014, under the patronage of HM King Mohammed VI, closed its work on Saturday night in Tangier, with the adoption of the Tangier Declaration, after four days of intense debates revolving around the general theme “What order in chaos?”.
The Tangier Declaration read by the President of the Amadeus Institute, Brahim Fassi Fihri, called, inter alia, to meet urgent in Mecca under the auspices of the Custodian of the Holy Places of all actors in the crisis Libya to lead the process of national reconciliation inclusive, calling all the forces of the Libyan nation to agree on a common political project.
This final document urged the international community to consider the solution to the Libyan crisis in its natural regional framework, namely its Maghreb and Sahel areas, calling the CEN-SAD and AMU to become more involved to achieve a sustainable solution this crisis.
Regarding the issue of governance in international institutions, the final declaration called for expanding the G20 5 non-permanent members elected for a term of two years by the G77 coalition of 132 developing countries.
Organized by the Amadeus Institute November 12 to 15, the 7th edition of MEDays Forum brought together over 200 stakeholders who have enriched the debates scheduled on many current topics.
The discussions focused on a variety of topics, including political and economic challenges of the emerging Africa, new security threats facing the multipolarity crises, remodeling a rapidly changing Arab world and the new world energy order .
Forum Medays awarded this year’s Grand Prix in the first Tunisian Minister Mehdi Jumaa, for the role he played in the success of the political transition in the country and the adoption of a new constitution, while the price energy and Sustainable Development returned to Belhoul Ahmed, head of the UAE company Masdar, a leader in renewable energy for its efforts in this area.
