Tunisia -. Four soldiers were killed and 11 others wounded in a “terrorist” operations against their bus in the area of Nabeur located in the province of Kef 160 km from the Tunisian capital, announced the spokesman of the Tunisian Ministry of Defence, Belhassen Oueslati.
The attack occurred at Nabeur between the towns of Kef and Jendouba, a few dozen kilometers from the Algerian border, says Oueslati. The bus was targeted by gunfire that two terrorists retaliated three soldiers who were aboard the bus, he has said in a press statement, adding that two injured are in critical condition.
The Tunisian army launched a major operation to hunt down the attackers, he has said. The armed forces track down since the end of 2012 jihadist fighters to the Algerian border, especially in the region of Mount Chaambi (center-west).
In July, 15 soldiers were killed on that mountain by a group of 40 to 60 “terrorists” according to the authorities, the worst attack of its kind in the history of the army.
