Skhirat – The National Council of the Authenticity and Modernity Party (PAM), meeting in an extraordinary session, decided to mandate the consultations committee, chaired by Head of Government-designate Fatima Ezzahra El Mansouri, to continue negotiations on the formation of the new government, National Council President Najwa Koukouss said Saturday in Skhirat.
Speaking at the opening of the Council’s proceedings, Koukouss stressed that the appointment of El Mansouri, coordinator of the party’s collegial leadership, as Head of Government constitutes a historic political moment for the Kingdom and for the PAM.
This step carries great political and symbolic significance, as it comes “as the culmination of a long history of political activism aimed at embedding a political culture based on recognizing merit and ensuring equal access for women and men to positions of responsibility and decision-making,” she said.
In a statement to the press following the extraordinary session, the Council president noted that the agenda also included the review and assessment of the results of the September 23, 2026 legislative elections, stressing that the meeting provided an opportunity to celebrate the party’s success in coming first in the vote.
