The Festival of World Sacred Music will boost the destination Fez

Fez – The next edition of the Fez Festival of World Sacred Music will be strongly presented internationally particularly from the United States, Germany and Scandinavia to boost the Fez destination internationally, said the president of the Spirit of Fes Foundation, Abderrafia Zouiten, organizational structure of the event.

The Foundation is working to initiate other cultural events to “attract more tourist flows and allow the city to consolidate its local dynamics and revive its former glory,” said Mr. Zouiten to MAP on the sidelines of the presentation Fez 21-th edition of the Fez Festival of World Sacred Music, noting that Fez contains a cultural heritage “rich and varied both tangible and intangible, and which deserves to be better valued.”

The peculiarity of the 21 th edition is characterized by the participation of more than 80 Moroccan artists and other foreigners from more than 25 countries, he added, noting that more than 150 foreign journalists will cover the event, besides the media Moroccans.

This edition is also distinguished by the theme chosen namely the relationship between Fez and Africa and the importance attached by Morocco to the black continent, he informed noting that these relations have gained momentum in favor high guidance of His Majesty King Mohammed VI.

Initiated from 22 to 30 May, the Fez Festival of World Sacred Music provides for the participation of several groups including Ballaké Sissoko and set of Bamako Mali kora, Masks of the Moon-Burkina Faso, the Children of Doudou N’Diaye Rose and dance Simb Lions Senegal, Coumbane Mint Amartichitt- the art of Mauritania cherries, singing Chérifa- Tamazight Middle Atlas- Morocco and Malick Sow, Tijani master Tivouane- Senegal.

Other stars also will be part of such Oumou Sangaré, the great diva of Mali, Tiken Jah Fakoly- Ivory Coast, the great singer of African reggae Ballaké Sissoko- Mali, the master of the kora, Doudou N’diyae Rose The Emirati superstar Hussain Al Jassmi, the Temptations and Dennis Edward legendary masters of Rhythm and Blues from the United States and many others.
