Royal Gift of15 tons of medicines and medical equipment to help Guinea Conakry to fight against Ebola

Mohammed V International Airport (Casablanca) – The company Royal Air Morocco (RAM), forwarded, Wednesday, a royal gift consisting of 15 tons of medicines and medical equipment to Guinea Conakry to help the country to fight against the spread of Ebola haemorrhagic fever.

The Department of Health said, in a statement, that humanitarian aid is part of the support given by Morocco to the international efforts to curb the spread of the Ebola virus, and to reinforce humanitarian solidarity and cooperation between the Kingdom of Morocco and African countries and peoples in general, and Morocco and Guinea Conakry in particular.

In a statement to the press at the Mohammed V International Airport, Abderrahim Karib, head of drug supplies and pharmaceuticals to the Ministry of Health, said this royal gift, consisting of 15 tons of medicine, medical products and biomedical equipment, is designed to support this friendly country that recorded the occurrence of new cases of Ebola

This gift is intended to contribute to the improvement of health services in Guinea Conakry and certainly bring a major support even help to fight against the Ebola epidemic hemorrhagic said Mr. Karib, noting that the sending of this aid in the context of cooperation relations between Morocco and Guinea Conakry.

In a similar statement, Mr. Amin El Farissi, Atlas DG Cargo Lines, a subsidiary of Royal Air Morocco group, said that following the High Majesty King Mohammed VI Instructions, RAM has taken all the necessary steps to take support and delivery of this gift to Guinea Conakry.
