Morocco intelligence dismatled terrorist cell recruiting volunteers for Daesh

Rabat – The Central Office of Judicial Investigations (OCIJ) under the Directorate of Territorial Surveillance (DGST) proceeded to dismantle, in the city of Fez, an active terrorist cell in recruiting and sending volunteers Moroccans to fight in the ranks of the organization called “Islamic State” in Syria and Iraq.

A statement from the Ministry of Interior said that the investigation revealed that the leader of the terrorist cell maintained strong ties with leaders of this terrorist organization, which ensured, in coordination with the Chief Cell Fez, rallying operations for new Moroccan volunteers at the Syrian-Iraqi conflict zone to undergo intensive training in the use of various sophisticated weapons in the camps in the group OF “Islamic State”.

The same investigations have confirmed that the cell members who had pledged allegiance to the alleged “emir” of this terrorist organization had received significant foreign funding for the expenses necessary for the movement of those fighters that of tension, added the ministry.

The suspects will be brought to justice upon completion of the investigation under the supervision of the competent prosecutor.
