The Central Office of Judicial Investigations (BCIJ) projected Monday before national and international media, the images of the dismantling operation of the terrorist cell on Sunday in several cities of the Kingdom.
These images and video clips, projected at a press conference given by the Commissioner of Police, Director of BCIJ Mr. Abdelhak Khiame at the headquarters of the Office in Salé, show the process of the raids and arrests by members BCIJ in the cities of Agadir, Tangier, Laayoune, Boujaad, Tiflet, Marrakech, Taroudant, Ain Harouda and Eastern Laayoune, which resulted in the arrest of 13 individuals and the seizure of weapons fire and a large amount of ammunition that were to be used in the execution of operations assassination of political, military and civilian.
Mr. Khiame has, on this occasion, announced that all operations conducted by the Office under the supervision of the prosecution, at a press conference to inform the media and public opinion on various related interventions including the fight against crime, drug trafficking, trafficking in arms and explosives, terrorism, endangering the security of the State, as well as falsification of currency.
This press conference is the first of BCIJ opened last Friday with an official delegation led by Interior Minister Mohamed Assad and the Minister of Justice and Freedoms, Mustapha Ramid.
The establishment of this office comes in implementation of the High Royal Instructions in the strengthening of good security governance in accordance with the new provisions of the Constitution which enshrine the principles of democracy and the rule of law.
