Rabat- Morocco will take part in the 59th session of the Commission on the Status of Women (New York, 9-20 March) said Friday a statement from the Ministry of Solidarity, Women, Family and Social Development.
This session will be dedicated to the evaluation of progress made in the implementation of the “Beijing Declaration, 20 years after its adoption” through the review of achievements in the field of equality, development, peace and different challenges and obstacles addition to examining the mechanisms to boost equality in the development plan for post-2015.
The Moroccan delegation is headed by the Minister of Solidarity, Women, Family and Social Development, Bassima Hakkaoui and consists of representatives of government departments concerned with strengthening the equality between men and women in addition to representatives of the civil society.
