Moroccan Security Dismatles Terrorist Cell

The National Criminal Investigation Brigade proceeded in dismantling a terrorist cell activation in Meknes, El Hajeb and Al Hoceima, specializing in the recruitment and indoctrination of Moroccan fighters to join the ranks of the organization of “Islamic State” (EI) in Syria and Iraq, said Saturday the Interior Ministry in a statement.

The dismantling of this cell, which is part of the efforts of the security services to deal with the terrorist threat, was conducted on the basis of accurate information provided by the Directorate General of monitoring the country territory, said the source. According to information available, the Moroccan fighters are subject to intense workouts in Syria and Iraq in the use of weapons, manufacturing explosives and preparing car bombs in preparation for committing subsequent terrorists operations in the Kingdom, the statement said.
