International Festival of children’s folklore to Start in Salé
Rabat- The 9th edition of the international festival of children’s folklore will take place from July 23 to 29 in Sale, under the motto “Children of Peace”, as part of the Moroccan people celebration of 16th anniversary of the accession of King Mohammed VI to the throne of his glorious ancestors.
Under the Presidency of Honor of HRH Princess Lalla Meryem, this edition, initiated by the Bouregreg Association, will be attended by approximately 600 children representing 28 countries, including Slovenia, Georgia, Turkey, Ukraine, Russia, Serbia, Poland, Libya, Palestine, Egypt, Congo Brazzaville, Algeria, Spain and Mexico, in addition to that of 120 children representing local and national troops from different regions of kingdom.
The program includes activities that will be spread over the areas of Rabat-Salé-Zemmour-Zaer, which will be divided into folk paintings artistic and expressive load, a grand carnival composed of various participating troops will leave the square and arrive in Chouhada instead of Bab Lamrissa.
Alongside the festival activities, the association has also prepared a tourist and cultural program for the troops who participate by organizing field visits to a number of historical sites in Rabat and Salé and some museums, and a ceremony to highlight the customs and traditions of Morocco and the other participating countries, within the framework of the cohabitation of cultures and disseminating the values of peace and tolerance.
