The US ambassador to Morocco, Dwight L. Bush, welcomed Wednesday in Rabat, the prominent place occupied by the civil society in the context of government action.
“We look forward to the special interest taken by the government to civil society,” said Dwight in a statement following a meeting with the Minister for Relations with Parliament El Habib Choubani .
The diplomat said the talks focused on the latest developments in the situation of the Moroccan civil society, including the results of the national dialogue on civil society and its impact on governance.
For his part, Mr. Choubani said that the meeting was an opportunity to review the actions of his ministry for the implementation of the constitutional provisions and recommendations of the national dialogue on civil society.
The minister, in this sense, highlighted efforts to strengthen the legal arsenal governing associative action, expressing the will of Morocco to benefit from the experience of American civil society, particularly in the legislative and legal to create a climate for even allows Moroccan associations to contribute in the development of the country at all levels.
