Algeria: Sensitive Fall of Vehicles Import  in 2014

Vehicle imports registered a fall of over 20 percent in 2014 in Algeria, from 554,263 units in 2013 to 439,637 last year, said Sunday the Algerian customs.

In value terms, the import bill has spent 7.33 billion in 2013 to 6.34 billion dollars last year, said the National Centre for Informatics and Statistics falling Algerian customs.

In 2012, vehicle imports had exceeded 600,000 units, according to the same source.

the National Centre for Informatics and Statistics attributes this decline to the fall in demand in addition to a significant inventory levels and generated mainly by the orientation of household spending to real estate.
