Telephone conversation between HM the King and the President of Egypt
HM King Mohammed VI spoke Tuesday on the phone with his brother, HE Mr. Al Abdelfettah Sissi, President of the Arab Republic of Egypt, said a statement from the Royal Cabinet .
During this interview, the two Heads of State emphasized the strength and rooting of Moroccan-Egyptian relations and dimension of solidarity that has always marked their relations, reaffirming their commitment to preserve these relations from any attempt to harm or disturb, the statement said.
HM the King and His Excellency the Egyptian president stressed the need to increase the pace of the action of all Moroccan and Egyptian actors to promote bilateral relations and hoist them to the level of a strategic partnership to guarantee the defense of common interests and consolidate the development process in both countries.
The two Heads of State agreed to keep open direct channels of contact between the Royal Palace and the Presidency of the Republic and between the Governments of both countries, as well as through the two ambassadors, the statement added.
The Sovereign has renewed his invitation to His Excellency the President of Egypt to visit Morocco.
For his part, His Excellency the President of Egypt once again invited His Majesty the King to make an official visit to Egypt.
